I'm hoping to get a clarification on filing taxes this year.

Background:

1. Multi-member LLC created in Colorado

2. Property the LLC owns is located in Dayton OH

3. We are registered as a foreign (non Ohio) LLC in Ohio

4. We will soon be submitting the Federal Return for the LLC in order to generate the K-1 for each member.

Question:

Are we required to submit a separate Business Tax Return in Ohio, or will this be covered by the members filing a personal return in Ohio?

I understand for Colorado the taxes for the state and the LLC will be handled through each of the members' personal returns, but I have not been able to find clear guidance on whether or not a business filing is required for Ohio or if we are good with filing personal returns in Ohio as well.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can provide some guidance.

@Dj Hume thank you I'll check them out!

Hello,

We are looking to do a cash out refinance for 2 multi family properties (each a 4 Plex) that we own outright in Dayton, Ohio.

Looking to accomplish this through a community bank or other lender that will allow us to keep the properties held in the name of our LLC.

If anyone has any suggestions or POC's they could refer us to it would be much appreciated!

Hi Ronald,

It's awesome to see you create a detailed plan. We relocated a few years back from California to Colorado Springs. This market has been exploding with growth and unfortunately home prices have shot up. It's a very competitive market here and the few homes that are underpriced/foreclosure ect tend to get bid up. We haven't been able to find properties that fit our criteria in this city and personally invest out of state. We love living here and was a great move for our family. Good luck!
