My neighboor is an elderly woman that is selling her house and I had a chance to talk to her and she will be selling her house in a couple of months. I am the first person on her list now since I am her neighbor. How should I buy this house? Can we do it between us so she doesnt have to pay realtor to post her house? Can one realtor do everything? If the house would get appraised by an apraizer, would the same realtor do all paper work? The house is old but livable. This will be my first home. I do have a family and a young child, if that makes a difference. Are there any programs I would quialify for?

I tried but no result. How do I find whose name is on the title of that property. I don't know if they own the whole lot or big part of it. Because county wasn't sure who's land is that.

I need help. I live in Sacramento and next to my house there is a land with nothing on it. It's located between me and highway wall. County told me that it belongs "probably !!!" To the lady who lives further down the street. She is 98 and for last 10-15 years didn't take care of that land. And bugs and fire hazard really bothers me. What can I do? I don't mined to buy it but lady is not thinking straight any more and I can't buy it. Any suggestions?

In CA woodland there is an old guy who has a very good land (2+ acres) with wood shop on property. Woodland city offered to buy his land for 500,000 and build apartments on it. There is a big need for rentals in Woodland but no land. Land is worth 1$m but he didn't post it for sale yet. I believe it's a very good investment to buy this land for about 600-700$ and build apartment there. Where do I find investor that would be interested in this deal? Or can I wholesale this project?

Thank you so much. I'm very excited about this site and understand more about houses and real estate. So my zoning RD-2 so it's single family zoning?. So it means I can't make this shed into a livable area? So how can I register it so it would increase my value for the house? This shed been here for about 25-30 years and I fixed all the walls and siding and roof. Foundations is solid concrete slab.

I'm new here and I'm from Sacramento. We bought a house about 3-4 years ago and house was old and almost unlivable. Spent about 20k on remodeling and house appraisal went up to 40% in last 4 years. The question is: there was an old shed in the back yard. I took a permit to change siding and put some Windows and door on that shed. How can I legalize this shed as livable area? House is 1200sqf and shed is 850sqf. Size of land is .55 acres.
