Hello, anyone have any deals/good systems in place and need some extra capital? I’m currently seeking a profitable investment. I’m intentionally keeping it vague because I want to see what’s out there. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Thanks for the responses guys. I totally understand the inherent weather risks that come along, also the amount of time to harvest which would lead to time/losses.

Thats why I’m more curious about cash crops, or crops that have fast seed to harvest rates. If you can produce a crop between 1-6 months it seems potentially very profitable considering holding costs for the land required. While also reducing those risks, weather and harvest time, etc.

@Barry Ruby Interesting! Yes I’ve seen a few good crop options. Have you done anything like this?

Hello, wondering if anyone has any experience/knowledge with a cash crop? I’ve been reading about some returns that can be achieved and it definitely has me thinking.

This is according to one source. Maybe it’s very exaggerated, but I’d be happy with half of that every 6 months per acre.

For example,

Gourmet Garlic Revenue:
You can get up to $16 per pound for gourmet garlic. And the average crop yields for garlic are roughly 10,000 to 12,000 pounds per acre, making it worth between $160,000-$192,000.

Thank you everybody for the helpful input. I am looking in the Rochester area. Everything was basically what I was expecting as far as expenses go... except the closing costs sound high, it is going to be a cash deal but something I will be sure to look into. @Benjamin Burket the snow part is definitely the new factor for me!

Hello I am looking at purchasing a couple rental properties in upstate  NY. I would like to hear some opinions from others who own rental properties or who have experience dealing with real estate in NY, as I am not the most familiar in this area. Anything to look out for? Any exuberant expenses that need to be taken into consideration? Thank you for any responses!
