Thanks @Cody Neumann! Does the account have to be set up in a certan way or is the only requirement that you have a separate account that only houses the security deposit?

I've just become a brand new landlord and my lawyer is telling me that I need to place the security deposit I received in a separate account. 

What is the best online account for this purpose? Ideally one with zero fees and no rules about minimum deposits or activity.

My name is Curt and I'm from New Jersey. I'm looking to become a real estate investor and start generating passive income so I can get out of the rat race.
