Hey @Crystal Kennedy

To help you in your search: be sure to find an accountant that is willing to grow with you, and is not too high priced fee wise. Not to low either, you don't want to go with someone who is just focused on price as this is a quality of a not so great accountant. Accountants are in such demand, that the best are not even accepting clients half the time.

The other problem I see often with accountants on here is that they specialize in larger investors, and have really high prices when you as a smaller investor do not need all the bells and whistles.

Another thing I see is folks thinking they need to have a tax professional in their state. We as a firm have investors working with us who have short term rental properties all over the US for example big and small.

Finding a real estate-focused tax professional and one who can help with advisory and grow with you would be my suggestion to focus your efforts on finding. Im sure we could help here if you would like, feel free to checkout our website in my bio and fill out the contact form if you think its a fit.

Best of luck in your search!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all of your responses!

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a tax professional that knows real estate/multifamily/airbnb?

My tenant Is moving and I haven't found a new tenant yet so no one will be in the home. Should I rush to have utilities put in my name or should I wait and have the new tenant turn the utilities on? I thought bc I lived there previously,  I wouldn't be charged all the fees but they are charging me like I'm a new resident. What do you all think?

In Atlanta, if you're planning to rent a space in your home to air bnb is it more profitable or about the and to rent out a home in a suburb like Marietta, Kennesaw, Lithia Springs etc or a condo downtown. Seems like a no brainer but I'm curious to hear from those of you already doing it. Also do any of you live and air bnb in the same space, if so, what is that experience like?
