Post: Lansing Michigan Questions

My husband and I are looking to invest in Lansing, Michigan area. He's an MSU grad, and we have family there.

I've been struggling to find ways to look up information on properties there, as they don't seem to put information on qpublic. Is there a reason for this, and is there another way to look up property information?

It also seems there are a lot of hoops to jump through as far as rentals go (rental licenses, etc...). I'd love any tips on owning and renting out in this area that the BP fam may have, and to also connect with agents/investors here.

Thanks - Cris

Does anyone know of any attorneys in Central Illinois that will work with "subject to" buyers.  I have spoken to 3 attorneys currently, all three warned me of the due on sale clause.  Next, cant I just put the property in a land trust?  Please let me know or any suggestions will help!  Thanks

Can't you get the due on sale insurance?
