@Mindy Jensen, They are having an "issue" finding titles/keys, so we'll see how that all plays out... I'm sure its at the bottom of one of those piles, which will literally be like finding a needle in a haystack.  Oh ya, if I had the time it would be worth selling all of the items, but I'm really just looking for a quick an easy way to sell it all since trashing it seems like such a waste.  You would think there's someone out there who would take it on and split the profits, but not having much luck finding anyone.

Thanks @Bruce Lynn and @Shahriar Khan - I appreciate the comments.

We are closing on a hoarder house within the next week or two and are looking for recommendations on how to handle all of the "junk". At first glance, there seems to a decent amount of value in several of the items... everything from 3 old Cadillacs that are in bad shape to old computer hardware, music equipment, power tools, hand tools, likely some antiques, etc.  The house is in awful condition and most likely a hazard, but the condition of many of the items seems to be OK (assuming the stench doesn't stick)...

We are flipping the house and want to get started on the complete rehab ASAP, so we're trying to decide if we should just discard everything with the demo and get going, or look into hoarding services, estate liquidators, pickers, etc.  Does anyone have any experience or recommendations on the best way to proceed? Or perhaps any suggestions on specific companies/individuals that may offer revenue splits on the items?

Hey Sean,

I wish you the best of luck on your journey... feel free to give me a shout if you get your hands on any off market properties. The worse off, the better!  I'm always in the market for a full remodel / flip in the Houston area.

Bryan

@Account Closed Agreed, thanks for sharing.  Do you typically give friends/family any type of finders fee commission?

@Ethan G. Thank you very much for offering to make those introductions. I would certainly like to take you up on that, please let me know the best way to proceed.

@Mark Sewell and @Brian Alfaro - Thank you both for the suggestions. I thought that might be the best course of action... I suppose there really are no shortcuts in this business.

Good Afternoon BP,

This is my first post... I have found the BP community to be both informative and engaging, so I decided to join in on the fun.  I am a cash buyer currently in the market for properties in any condition located in and around Houston, TX - and am looking to make new business connections and perhaps receive some helpful guidance.

1) I am interested in connecting with anyone in the community that sources the ever coveted "great deals" (bird dogs / wholesalers) - any suggestions on the best way to meet these people?

2) I am also curious if anyone has had any consistent success using any local 'email lists' or 'wholesale websites'. (I am aware that in most cases, the properties that hit these lists/sites are passed on by other investors)

3) My business partner and I have had success at auctions, but would love to hear any additional suggestions for sourcing great value.

Thank you,

BC
