Hello everyone,

I will be taking my final exam for my online RE program, RealEstateExpress.com, then I plan on taking my NY (New York for the keyword alert people) License exam shortly thereafter.

My questions are:

  • Have you used the RealEstateExpress.com to acquire your license? If so, any tips?
  • For the NY License exam, advice?

Thank you BP community!

Hey everyone, have any tips for saving money for a complete rehab?

I just purchased one and I am looking for tips on saving money on building materials.

One good one that I came across was The Home Depot Volume Pricing (http://www.homedepot.com/c/Pro_VolumePricing). Check it out if you haven't heard about it.

@Eric Knapp Had no idea that was an option, thanks. I looked into it and they do in fact pickup in Queens. Will keep this in mind

@Paul Timmins Awesome story. I will look into craigslist.

@Greg Potter I like the idea of offering at a fair price. Will try this.

@Matthew Paul Wow, not bad for "trash". Thanks

Hey guys,

I just closed on my first rehab today and I am looking to record all transactions made in relation to this property.

I heard that Quickbooks Pro is great for this purpose, so I am trying it out. I have little familiarity with QB, so any tips for use in Real Estate investing would be great. Helpful links/videos would be great as well.

Thanks!

Hey guys, first time poster here.

I just closed on my first rehab property today in Queens, NY!

The house came fully furnished... in very old furniture.

I was thinking about putting them on craigslist or calling an antique store and giving them all away. The goal is to reduce garbage.

Any tips for a newbie on old furniture removal?

Thank you.
