I would love to hear from someone that has done so.
Thank you.

I do not have check writing with my SIDRA . I just request money via a"direction letter" . You cannot manage your own property if it through your IRA so I have money sent to my property manager to do any work that is more than an average bill that my reserves cover [ i.e. painting, new carpet etc.... There is a a list of self directed IRA's on BP in REI Resources. I use Polycomp out of California. They are very helpful and will answer any questions. If you are going to finance your property you need to fins=d a lender that will give you a non-recourse loan. I recently heard iplan (sp?) our of Ohio is easy to work with.

It's no harder than dealing with a teenager -- Best of luck

Hello

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Courtney Cotton and I live in Denver, Colorado. I have purchased, renovated, sold and rented single family homes throughout my life and had my GC license when I lived in NC. I currently own two single family investment properties one in Highlands Ranch, CO through my IRA and one in Miami, FL . I am a passive equity investor in a large 350 multi family complex in Dayton, Ohio.

I have attended Chris McClatchy's seller finance seminar, Anthony Chara's multi family boot camp, consulted with Susan Lassiter Lyons and currently subscribe to, read and attend the many resources available to learn about investing.  I must mention I have met very knowledgeable, generous helpful people on this new journey.

My goal is to build a portfolio of multi family properties.  I have so much to learn but have assembled a team with a real estate accountant, attorney & property manager so when the right deal presents I am [ somewhat ] ready.

Theory is great, due diligence even better, but  I have learned the most in the real estate world by just jumping in a doing...
