Makes sense, Joseph. I'll be sure to make sure that there is plenty of demand for rentals!

Thanks Trent! That makes a lot of sense I just checked some of the comparable rentals and they all were on trulia for less than a month. I'll be sure to contact some property managers as well to get some information from them. Also, there is a some pretty considerable housing development going on in this area as well (whole new blocks under construction). Are the supply demand concerns the same with this?

There appears to be lots of rental options for single family homes in my target area. Is this something I should be worried about? If so, how much? I got this image from trulia.com. I'm looking for a house hack converted to a rental when I move out in Royse City, TX.

Hello everyone! My name is Corey and I grew up in the Austin, Texas area. I found out about BiggerPockets through the podcasts. I love listening to them at work and trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can. After finishing college at Texas Tech University, I moved to Greenville, Texas which is outside of Dallas for a engineering job at L3Harris. I've worked here for about a year and would like to move into a single family house hack in Royse City, Texas.

I have listened to the BiggerPockets house hacking book and am eager to learn more about the subject. I am hoping to move into my first house hack in the next couple of months.

Don't hesitate to reach out!
