I have to ask if last post was based on The Secret? You sound just like the people pushing that book and DVD.

Personally, I get scared whenever I see someone (myself included) making business decisions based on the warm fuzzies:woohoo: . I am a G"do the math" kind of person first--emotions second. I credit that with keeping me out of a lot bad deals. I know too many people who saw themselves as millionaires and invested very unwisely. Though I have no problem with a positive attitude.

I really need to get my hands on that DVD, everyone is telling me that its such a good movie to watch

That sounds like a job in itself. Have any of your contacts put you in touch with someone in your local area?

I'm jealous of you man. That's an industry i wanted to be in for a long time. I was living on disability before I got into this. It's not fun having to live on a Goverment handout each month.

Right now, I help bring buyers and sellers together. The job is so fun and I get to meet some interesting people.

I thought for sure I had replied to this area, but since I didn't I will no.

I initially started out on the residential side and got rejected big time by almost everyone I talked to.

I then decided to switch to the commercial side because I was told that the deals come easier (which they do) and the people are easier to deal with.

My first deal which should be closing either today or tomorrow involves sme office space one of my contacts needs badly. Then my partner (thank god I found him) decided that we should concentrate on REO. That was a smart move on his part. We now have people wanting to work with us on that. We got some REO orders were placing this week and I'm psyched about that

Nice to see more midwest folks on here

I agree, if you never got paid on anything, why do you think you can collect something?

Help me to understand something? What purpose does it serve in asking for proof of funds?

My boss who is direct to one of our major investors is in need of a Las Vegas Casino that he can purchase for 65%LTV or lower. If you are direct to the seller, please contact me ASAP. This guy is ready to buy right now and I'd like to accommodate him.

Yea they buy anywhere there's a deal. Basically if a property is at 1.5 million dollars. If the seller is willing to discount it at 60 percent then my buyers will be interested.
