Post: Dabbling Into Real Estate In My 20s

I am an engineer in my early 20s looking to venture into the world of real estate investing. I have saved diligently and traded stocks for the last several years and am now seeking to flesh out my portfolio by adding some real estate assets. To begin venturing down this path, I plan on purchasing my first home in the fall.

In the long term, I don't see myself in a position in which I would be living off of my company salary. Rather, I want to have my assets produce the cash flow necessary to make ends meet so I will be able to freely chase my passions in my career.
