I have one goal for 2018:

Get in the game! I want a cash flowing property by the end of 2018.  I'm a newbie to real estate investing. I just bought my principal residence 6 months ago in abbotsford, BC. The price to rent ratios here in the fraser valley/lower mainland are completely outta whack so im trying to learn as much as i can about investing in the US. One of the obstacles thats holding me back is the fact that US banks usually require canadians to have 35-50% down. If anyone has any ways around this id love to know!

thanks guys!

Hi guys,

Im just getting into real estate. Im a 23 year old plumber from Vancouver BC. I just recently bought my princible residence out in abbotsford BC. Im just curious how other investors in my area are getting it done. From what I've been reading, the prices of property out here are much too high to obtain a positive cash flowing investment. So I'm curious, if you are in my area, are you buying out here in the lower mainland? or are you scaling out? If so, where and how did you get started?

thanks guys

Connor

excellent! thank you! thats very very helpful Mike.

By getting "Clear title" are you saying that you should make sure you own 100% of the property? not sure what that means.

Hi guys!

I've just recently bought myself an apartment to live in, in Abbotsford, BC (about an hour outside of vancouver BC). Now, I'm looking to buy my first investment rental property. The problem is, in my area, the average price of a home or any property really is ridiculous. The price to rent ratio is completely out of wack. The average home is like a million dollars. So, I started looking into turnkey companies in my area. I found one and scheduled an appointment with them. However, I am unable to find many reviews on this company anywhere (Platinum Properties Group - if anyone has ever used them). So my other thought was, maybe i could use a turnkey company that is out of my region? Ive heard great things on this forum from other investors about companies in toronto and other companies in the states. So my question is, would there be any large downsides to me using a company in completely different area from where i live?

let me know guys,

thanks!
