Hello, all! Firstly, I want to say... thank you. This website and everyone posting on it has been of an immense service to me. It is beautiful and heart warming to see so many people helping others out in an industry that seems to be predominately populated by sharks and gurus.
I'm pretty new to the whole deal - but I am tired of working a standard job where I am mostly just benefiting my employers. I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme, and I'm willing to do the work... And that's why I'm here.
Currently I find myself in Stillwater, OK... Though this is mostly a transitional phase. In the long run, I hope to end up in Austin, TX because of both the business potential there and the culture. My fiance has a child and my mobility is limited, so I am hoping to do some business in Tulsa or Oklahoma city in order to fund the move.
I am looking to get into wholesaling and I feel like I know enough to where I wont be one of the large numbers who get into lots of trouble or accidentally attempt to screw other investors over by trying to take too much meat off of a deal that had no meat to begin with... I guess what I am saying is that I recognize that as a wholesaler, I am in the business of finding good deals for other investors, not deals that I want to make money off of.
With that being said, I am still quite ignorant of many of the aspects of investing, so I fully intend to keep posting in here. Hey, maybe someday I will have learned enough that I can help some other beginning Investor out.
As a final note, one of the things that I like the most about this industry is that it requires everyone to help one another out - team work is a necessity, and in order to flourish you have to help everyone else win, just as much as yourself. I really like that.
Thank you all for your assistance, even if nobody reads or responds to this ;)
