Post: Monetary amount for a sewage easement

I have an empty lot that I am looking to build on. The property does not have sewer available, but I have contacted the adjoining owner behind the lot for an easement through his property and he is ok with it. I am wondering what amount should I pay him for this? Just throw a number out or by the foot or what? I asked him if he a number in mind and he said he had no idea either.

A google search of NC Landlord Tenant Laws Chapter 42 should get you what you need.

https://www.ncleg.gov/Laws/Gen...

Also, if the tenants are paying monthly then it sounds like they are on a month to month type of arrangement (since there is not a lease) which would mean a 30 day notice would need to be given. That would be much easier than evicting. I would press the buyer again for some kind of documentation of a lease, deposits ect.

I use the cheap 30 day filters, but use them for 60 days. Also a guy at Walmart told me if you just vacuum them you can keep using them (I did try it and it did work, but this would be for your own home). The expensive filters just reduce the flow in my opinion.

@Chris Martin

I use the NC form 410-t for my leases, but for the 10 day notice are you saying the sheriffs office has to deliver this also or can this be delivered by the landlord and the eviction notice is delivered by the sherriff?

I live a few minutes north of Charlotte, but had some interest in attending the York County delinquent tax sale to see how it works. Looking at what the county provides on their website as far as what will be acutioned it is 21 pages (as of 10/28/19) of properties listing only the District and Map numbers. Does anyone know how to sort through these properties listed based off of the those 2 things besides looking each individual property up one by one and what exactly is the district that they have listed. Thanks for any help.

It might be easier to let them go from the lease. If they are making this much of a fuss about the drivers license you may have more problems in the future.

It looks as though the neighbor is now planning to sell the home located behind my property, but with the garage still partially located on my property. I remember the survey guy mentioning something about he was surprised he was able to buy the home with the garage on my property to began with. Is he going to have some issue now with selling the property with the garage located on my land?
