@Matthew Bennett I will be working with a friend from university. We are looking to structure things so that final decisions are only acted upon when both parties are in agreement and clear on the path forward.

@Braden Smith thank you for your input, we will be setting up an appointment with an attorney soon!

Hello BP community,

I am forming a 50/50 partnership with a fellow investor. We plan to enter the multifamily space, purchasing properties with 8+ units with the potential to add value and attract higher quality tenants.

We have verbally agreed to enter a partnership where everything from financing to building the business itself will be equally shared. I am reaching out to all of you for advice on how to to structure this partnership in a way that leaves us both comfortable and reassured that if things don't work out, our lives won't be torn apart.

Thanks in advance,

Cody McGonigal

Hello @Marie Tai,

Thanks for the time to respond, I am brand new to this and I am trying to weigh my options when it comes to investing in Canada vs USA. Currently not sure which way to go and seeking any advise.

Hello BP community,

I am new to real estate and trying getting the ball rolling. A new property has popped up in my area and I am looking for for feedback from experienced investors and what their opinions are.

Property Details:

-10 bedrooms (5/side)

-4 bathrooms (2/side)

-1776 sq ft

Built in 1976

The description says that 50k reno has recently been done and it is located within 5km to a major provincial university, I am going to view the property tonight to get a better feel for the situation and neighborhood.

I've attached my analysis of the property, any feed back is welcome.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking in the shadows for a roughly a month now trying to get my feet wet and learn the basics. I am struggling to find much information on cross border investing and all its legalities. If anyone can shed some light on where to start looking to find a good real estate financial advisor / accountant that specializes cross border investing that can help me lay a solid foundation to get the ball rolling it would be very much appreciated! I'm looking to get my start in the multifamily space with serious intentions of up scaling into small apartments so someone who has experience in this area would be a huge asset.

I just want to say thanks in advance to anyone willing to take the time to help me start out my investing journey and I look forward to meeting you!
