I am looking to purchase a duplex and live in one side. Does anyone know if it is better to go with a large bank or local bank? or is it best to go with an FHA loan?

@Raymond J. Rodrigues that would be awesome.  Just looking to meet more like minded people and keep growing.

Hello BP Family. My name is Codey and I am currently in the Lakeland, Central Florida area. I would love to start meeting other locals and connect. My twin brother and I left the accounting world after reading the famous "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and wanted to start investing in real estate to create long term wealth. I also have a little bit of construction knowledge as I worked for a contractor right after I left accounting. I'm not opposed to partnering on any deals as I understand you have to start somewhere. Would love to start in the area of multi-family investing and trying to utilize the BRRR strategy. Hope to hear from some of you guys.

@Kristyn Grimes Thank you for sharing that.  I started listening to that today actually.  Going to find time when I can sit down and really take notes.  You should definitely get the pro membership, it is so helpful using the calculators and the BP Insights that they now offer.  One of the best purchases I have made.  I've gotten so much more out of BP than any other paid for real estate that I've done.

Thanks, and best of luck to you as well!

Looking to get some insight or topics on the best strategy for understanding and choosing a market to start in?

@Nate O. That’s awesome and super encouraging! It’s always nice to hear success stories like this especially when so many people are nay sayers and think real estate investing is only for the rich. I live in central Florida but I was curious what the best method for finding these local meet ups is?
