Hey Lawrence, I am an agent in OC and I have the same plan. I am in the process of learning about and researching the Dallas market in order to start purchasing properties to buy and hold. Good luck!

Welcome Tim! I am in a similar situation with similar goals, but I live in Southern California. I'm hoping to network with other Dallas investors and professionals from afar. Good luck!

Thanks all for the welcome!

@Joshua McGinnis Haha it may have been. It is very competitive out there.

@J Martin Thank you for the tips! I plan on being more involved

@Matthew G. Nice to meet you! Yeah, I am eager to start cash flowing, but feel that I can start sooner in another market.

@Paul Timmins Thanks so much for the information. I am going to start attending some local clubs this month. Could you explain what you are refering to when you say "Remember you don't have to own it to control it" please?

Hi BP,

I worked with a team who flips homes all over Orange County and Los Angeles. We have completed close to 150 deals over the past two years. We buy most of our deals at trustee auctions, but we also purchase deals from the MLS. I am also a real estate agent who enjoys working with buyers/sellers/investors in the area. My goal is to start purchasing homes to ‘buy and hold forever' in states where rentals cash flow well. I have been looking at Dallas recently because I like the economy, price levels, and I have family in the area.

I stumbled across BP online about a year ago and have been loving the content quietly.
