Post: Recommdations for Brokers?

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone have any recommendations for brokers they've worked with who have expertise in the Pierce County area? I'm currently looking for single family and small multi-family properties, but would like to work with someone who has more specific local knowledge.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Christian

Edit: Apologies for the typo in the title...

@Robert Leonard Thank you for your information. That definitely makes sense about it being dependent on strategy.

Hi all,

When looking at foreclosures, is there an ideal amount of equity in the properties that I should be searching for? Should I be searching for properties with the most equity, least equity, or does it really not matter?

Thanks in advance.

Christian

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! Jeff Greenberg I live in Culver City but commute to downtown daily for work. Paul Timmins Thanks for the thorough advice. I hadn't considered student housing before, but now that you mention it, it seems like there is a lot of opportunity worth exploring. Ciprian L. Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately I won't be able to make tonight, but I'm definitely hoping to make the next meeting! Brandon Turner Your podcasts are amazing. Keep up the good work. Thanks again everyone!

Hi Everyone!

I'm Christian, a new BiggerPockets member out of Los Angeles, California. I just joined the community a few days ago, but it already seems like a very helpful group to be a part of. I'm hoping to get to know a lot of you online and hopefully meet some of you in the area in person.

I guess the first thing I'd like to ask is if anyone has any recommendations for real estate clubs/groups in the Los Angeles area that meet regularly. I tried searching the forums for a group but I couldn't seem to find any meetings coming up soon. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to meet up in person.

I've also started to listen to the archive of Podcasts and am reading every book I can get my hands on. I'm already learning a lot but would appreciate any advice on moving toward my first deal. I've been thinking about the buy and hold strategy and hope to have my first property toward the end of the year or even earlier if I can make it happen.

Thanks for your help, and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
