Appreciate it Scott.  I am looking at in the Killeen, TX area.  If you do have a contact in that area, I'd be happy to discuss enlisting their services.  thank you!

Hello BP Team,

I am analyzing duplexes that I am interested in purchasing as rentals.  If you find a good number of properties that you think will be good rentals, is there a more cost-effective method of not paying for an inspection on each one?  Or if you have 5 properties that you would like to make an offer, paying for the inspection is part of the deal?

Thanks.

Mark

I had a meeting with my investing partner the other day.  It was an emergency meeting because we hadn't had one in a couple of weeks since we've been busy.  I've been busy due to planning for my wedding in August.  My partner, Boyd, got into a car accident and has been dealing with insurance and getting a replacement car.  However, there was a solid two week timeframe when we didn't actively learn anything as far as real estate education because of life.  After meeting with my partner, we decided to take some time each day and focus on our education.  I set my time at 0530 in the morning for 1 hour before work.  Things really creep up on you, and a whole block of time passes before you realize that you didn't get anything done as far as reaching goals simply because life happens!

Hola,

I am a USAF SSgt stationed in Okinawa Japan, but I am originally from Silverdale, WA. I signed up for Bigger Pockets to learn about REI, and to get started on my first investment home. My investment partner and I gave ourselves two years to learn about the many intricacies, and niches about REI. This will also give us enough time to accumulate capital to start our venture. So I am definitely all ears, and want to soak up as much information I can between now and then. I am glad to find such a website with a great amount of information on this subject, and real stories from personal experience.
