Hello! I am a new real estate investor in Chattanooga, TN. I've spent the last few months building a team of investors and educating myself on multi family apartment complexes. We are looking to syndicate a deal on an 8-40 unit complex in a desirable area with value add potential. According to Ken McElroy in the ABCs of real estate investing he likes to go after multi family apartment complexes that aren't currently on the market. Finding the owner and trying to buy the complex off market. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with this type of strategy? Or if there are other creative strategies to finding deals on multi units other than mls, loopnet, etc. Thanks in advance bigger pockets family!
