The lady's sister is renting another apartment from us. We found all this out word of mouth from the sister. The lady moved out and the guy was arrested, but since released. The lady at question wants to move in with her sister in the apartment.

We were notified that there was a domestic violence incident between our tenants.  Tenants share an apartment.  Guy was arrested and released and has a court date.  Girl has moved out and is living with her sister.  We are first time landlords and a bit lost as to how to proceed with the security deposit. Do we do a move-out inspection with her?  Is she entitled to half the security deposit?  Both girl and guy were on the lease.  Thank you for your help!
