Hi @David Ginn and thank you for the reply!

I couldn't agree more about the education. After deciding to walk this path I have embraced education as both the first step as well as a never ending pursuit. Over the last few weeks I've finished 3 books, starting #4 next week and have watched well over 40+ hours of educational videos to round out financing, legalities, and overall best practices. It's clear that taking things slow to understand all aspects of Real Estate investing is a hard line requirement prior to purchasing any properties/units (regardless of strategy).

I view the BiggerPockets site/content/books to be a treasure trove of information that I can continue to consume, but I'm lacking the network of individuals once I'm ready to get started investing $$$.

Thanks,

Christopher

I’m just getting started on my real estate investment journey and looking to crowd source tips and tricks from those who have walked the path before me.

How did you find and connect with non-organic mentors?

What worked well for you while getting started and building your network of real estate professionals (lawyers, agents, etc.) and what are some of the pitfalls to avoid?

Thanks!

C.S.
