I will shoot you an email with my info so we can meet up and chat about the world of real estate.

Look in the area for yard signs of brokers selling properties or have someone with access to the MLS look up brokers with previous sales in the area. Give the most prominent broker a call and ask him his thoughts to the value of the property. If he is a local area expert he should be able to give a ballpark number of the value.

If there are no current sales, as Michael said it can mean it is dead in the area, but it can also mean it is a very strong neighborhood with not many actives. Again, this is something you would want to discuss with the local area expert (Realtor).

I signed up a few weeks ago, but took the next step today to familiarize myself with the site. I am an associate broker but primarily do fix and flip, wholesale, and rent'n hold for several investors. My mantra is cooperation, sharing knowledge and building relationships. I am looking forward to teaching and learning on this site about acquisition, clever financing methods, and building real estate acquisition cooperatives.
