Keep them all under your name. Any attorney can pierce the veil and sue you if something happens. Just get a million in liability and you’ll be fine.

My name is Chris, i am currently investing in scranton and just wondering if it make sense to set up LLC or just keep the investment under my name.

Hi Adam , my name is Chris, I just read your article and very interesting points that you mentioned. I am about to purchase a single family home in the south side of scranton for 60k 3bedrooms/1bath about 900 sq ft. I did not want to get something so expensive because I am new at this investment and rental property. I have notice that taxes are expensive 2,400 a year and garbage 300 per year , which is high compare to other area around scranton. I did see that rental is good around this area looking at zillow and Craigslist but you also have to get a good tenant. If you could give me some advice from someone who been in this area as an investor and landlord. Do you think it worth keeping the property long term , do you think tenant are good in this area, do you think scranton will get more develop with more jobs and more people creating jobs.

@David Haynes , what do you think about scranton pa as far as rental income and home value
