Post: Contractors NYC Area

Hey BP Family,

Looking for some assistance in finding reliable & fair contractors in the NYC (specifically Brooklyn) area. Located in East Flatbush section of Brooklyn, I have a 2nd floor  2 (potentially 3) bedroom apartment that needs a full renovation. Electrical definitely needs to be updated and re-ran throughout the apartment.  Any help with reliable and great contacts would be more than appreciated.

Hope everyone is keeping above waters during these difficult times!

Thanks,
Christopher Alvarez

Totally understand what you mean @Ryan Deasy. Appreciate the help & I’m sending you a message now.

Thanks,

Hey @Ryan Deasy, really appreciate the feedback ! Thanks for the advice , I originally was primarily focused on small multi families but thought the cash flow would not be there / rental appeal outside of the more traditional urban area of Hartford. Definitely have heard the stigma of New Britain but obviously there is a market there and maybe even a higher renter population than the surrounding areas. I would love to maybe pick your brain on what has worked for you in this market.

Thanks,

Thanks @Filipe Really appreciate the information! I would love some more information on meet-ups. I do live Out of state but often am in CT to visit family (Newington).

Hey all!

Im looking to break into CT market & just wanted to get as much feedback/info from those who are currently investing in this market. I'm looking at the Hartford area and surrounding towns and cities. I have ran the numbers on multiple single families and they seem to work but what type of properties have worked for you? What type of ways have you purchased? Has anyone tried tax sales or judicial sales? Any help would be really beneficial. Just a sponge trying to soak up as much as I can! Please feel free to PM me if you have experience in this area.
