Congratulations!

You saw opportunity and seized it! Imperial Beach is indeed still an under-developed beach town with huge appreciation rates and development plans. Best of luck in your future endeavors

Hello Michael

Just like Dan said, long term appreciation has never failed the average RE investor, especially in a market like San Diego. Being active in the market and living here my whole life, I've seen and lived through it.

While both SFH and Multi family are solid investments, it ultimately depends on your goals when it comes to Real Estate to decide which is the better fit for you and your goals.

There are several important questions you should ask yourself. What am I looking to get out of this investment? Am I looking to create forced appreciation? How long will I be holding hold the property for? ETC.

One more thing, I've noticed that most find it easier to invest locally, I'm not sure where you are located and if you have any systems in placed for the cities you mentioned.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Hello BiggerPockets members,

My name is Christian Ortega, though I go by Chris. I am a San Diego Native, born and raised in this city.

I've grown up and have worked all over the county of San Diego. I am a Realtor, I do property management and simultaneously, I am a flooring contractor. As a Realtor I specialize in working with First Time Home Buyers and Investors. As a Property Manager I specialize in Long Term Rentals. As a Flooring contractor I've done projects from residential homes to commercial spaces all over San Diego.

Through the services I provided, I came across many real estate investors. Investors from all sorts of different directions in life, though all with the similar goal of creating lasting wealth. Through these interactions and relationships, the seed of becoming Financially Independent and creating Generational Wealth through Real Estate was planted.

As someone who comes from a background of poverty, it is my goal to create generational wealth and help as many people as possible I can do the same.

Here are some snippets of my Personal Mission Statement to get a sense of who I am

Under Life Goals here is a snippet
"I can do anything I set my mind to. I will become financially independent and create generational wealth. I will help the others around me do the same. I will be a person who has deep bonds with my friends, family members and community. I would like for their statements to say how great of a friend, brother/son, and human being I have been. How I have inspired those around me and have helped them achieve their goals. How I've made a positive impact in their lives."

I truly am here to help and provide value, any questions or if there's anything I can help out with, my DMs are always open

I'm looking forward to connecting with everyone

Regards

Chris
