So - I'd be covered for Irma WITH NO WIND COVERAGE addendum, but not for a tornado? Honestly - for about 30-40% extra cost, I'm wondering wny bother???

Could anyone tell me what the advantages might be for wind insurance in Florida for Condos? Specifically, this is in regards to a rental (unfurnished) unit with tile floors. Honestly - if the wind broke the large window - not sure what of the condo might be damaged? As I understand it, the HOA covers the exterior, and other than some drywall - not sure what might be lost in a storm? Note - I grew up in Florida and have yet to have a wind related problem, but don't want to be ignorant of the risks.

Regarding remediation - can one just remove all the drywall and molding and throw in a dumpster, or is this some sort of hazardous waste?

Hello Bigger Pocket's people. A local agent suggested this forum and I can see it is a wonderful community. Thanks for letting me participate.

We moved to SWFlorida over a year ago from PA. There, prior to moving, we have sold two properties and taken back mortgage notes (10 year balloons) @  4.5-4.75%.  I find it annoying that we have to file a PA tax return on the income.  Is this one of those things where I should just live with the cost/bother of keeping a PA tax preparer, or is there some legitimate way to sensibly change the situation?
