My biggest question is should I purchase 2 small units or one large unit? I could get a duplex for $160k or a house for $140k. Any thoughts on this?

I'm worried about finding a mortgage broker because I am not ready to buy and I don't want to deal with aggressive sales pressure. I can easily do more than %3.5 I just figured the less capital I put up the high rate of returns I will receive.

I will be a first time home buyer and want to use that to my advantage in purchasing a multifamily house. My plan is to start searching in october. I'd like to get a four plex under an FHA loan with %3.5 down. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm trying to find problems that I may overlook.

Hello everyone my name is Chris I am a 25 years old recent graduate. I've always liked the idea of real estate investing but until recently I did not have the means to get started. I have a plan in place but I do not know if it will work or the best way to implement it. I'm hoping I'll find the information I need on this site. Also I'll upload a picture soon.
