Post: Permitting / Contractor Question

I need to re-roof a property. It’s a small project. I had planned to do it myself, but learned I can’t do that on a property that is not my home.

I have a quote for all materials, dumpster, and the subcontractor ready to go. Now I need a contractor to pull a permit.

Can I ask to hire a contractor simply to pull the permit and let my crew do all the work or do I have to let them control the process?

(I’m more concerned that a permit is pulled for insurance or resale purposes than hiring a contractor for a warranty since I trust my crew.)
