My iPhone refuses to let me use anything but the default iPhone keyboard for the BP app. I use GBoard everywhere else, but the BP App refuses to use anything other than the default. I've reinstalled the app to no avail. Solutions?

Generally, though, the app IS OKAY for the forums, but this keyboard thing is driving me crazy. To the point where I wait to post until I'm on a computer.

They just started renting in June. I unfortunately don't have the numbers but I believe it is cashflowing.

@Siobhan D. My parents just picked up a $40K Duplex, needed $10K in work to get it going again (they put in 15, but it needed 10) and it's now fully rented at ~1400.

You could by a $30K house in US and rent it for $1000/mo OR you buy $400K 1 bdrm condo in Vancouver area and rent it for $1000. The trick is to find the right area in US and the right team

Okay... Vancouver is a bit of a special market, Washington State isn't inexpensive though, so why go south rather than east?

I'm very curious as to why so many people are investing in the US here. There's markets in our area (Smiths Falls, Cornwall) that are great for cashflow and Ottawa+suburbs are still good for flips. What's the draw to go Stateside?

Hi Youssef and welcome! Single Family Homes can definitely be hard to cash flow in major Canadian markets, but not impossible. High down payments or buying a deal with work needed can make them cash flow. When I analyze, I know I’m conservative, so I’ll strongly consider anything that shows a monthly break even or better for SFRs. I’m comfortable with that because they’re fairly easy to offload and generally easy to add value to them through minor Reno’s.

Welcome to the Canadian BP Party Jeremie! I’m out of Ottawa as well, relatively new to the Real Estate game as well. Yes you’re absolutely right that BP is America-Centric, but there’s dozens of us on here!
