@Ben Rhodin - Thanks! Do you happen to know the mountain towns that are pretty "easy" to get STR license. Which towns are harder/more regulations? I have see some potential A-frames recently that would require some updating. Can I do a 203kFHA loan with a HELOC? I don't have much hard cash savings at the moment so looking at my best option.

Hi BP community! I currently house hack, bought a house in Arvada in January 2020 and now have over $100K equity in my house. Next goal is either another house hack, but my main dream is to buy land and build a A-Frame Cabin or unique dome or container home in the mountains. Does anyone have experience in land/construction loans and what to look at for for permits/utility install, Airbnb laws, etc? 

Any tips are appreciated!

Hello - I am looking to buy my first house in Northern Denver area. I will be paying off my student loans by November of this year to open up cash flow. My lease is not up until February 2020. I should have roughly ~$10k saved up by then. Sadly that is not enough for a 3.5% down payment on a single family house in Denver market. Is there a way to combine the 203K loan with a CHAFA/down payment grant? Or try to negotiate a month-to-month and buy when I have enough saved? I'm looking to upgrade a house with solar panels, house hack 1-2 years, then rent out.

Would love to hear people's thoughts. Been educating myself past 2 months with podcasts.
