Andrew Michael yes we have spoke before, I remember. It is good to see people in your area successful as you are. I've been spending my time from the last we spoke still reading and looking at houses. Now is the time to act though.

@Christian Sifuentes Thank you. I have searched for local REI clubs. Are you in any of them or have any recommendations? I would like to stay away from those who bring people in to sell products. I've heard that will happen at some of them. Are you currently investing in the Westminster area?

Good evening. I am just starting out in the world of REI. I do not have experience or a lot of capital. I am looking to start off in wholesaling to build that up as well as get experience and knowledge. I am looking to meet/network with investors in my area. I would like to know what type of properties you typically invest in? If you work with wholesalers or are willing to, what are your particular expectations from them? I am looking in areas around the baltimore beltway but mostly west Baltimore county.

So looking get my business off the ground. Seems like one of the most important people to have on your team is a good RE Attorney. I was looking into legal zoom and legal shield. Now the firms they deal with don't have a main focus on real estate. Has anyone used either one of these services? With starting off, seemed like a cheaper option to go with, but as in anything in life,....get what you pay for. I am in Maryland so if anyone has dealt with these sites or have any good attorney they deal with, feedback would be appreciated.

David Dachtera Lee Smith Ralph C. Thank you for your responses. I will go through with the classroom obtain it. To me, it seemed advantageous, but seemed to be a good amount of investors who didn't have it.

Thank you for your responses. Lee Smith , both my wife and I were planning on getting it, but I was advised by someone to just have her get it. They told me it makes it easier to wholesale without it and as long as she has it, still have that access as well as her listing any of our properties. The reason I've heard the most to not get it has been,..."you don't need it, Don't waste your time." Which I didn't understand because yes, I know I don't need it, but this is all about return on investment and I have felt that could get more deals, larger network, and in turn, greater money on investing in getting it. Of course most of the people who have said not to get it are established investors who have a network in place so I can see how they may see it a waste of time for themselves. But as me starting out, I saw nothing but benefits.

Good afternoon BP. I am just starting out in RE investing. I haven't made any deals yet. Trying to transition from educating to doing. I am signed up for a real estate license class. Now my focus would be fix and flip and wholesaling. I thought getting my license would only help with experience, knowledge, networking and perhaps adding some credibility. One thing I have noticed though is that most flippers and wholesalers do not have their license. Is there any particular reason for that? Wasn't sure if maybe there were some ethical concerns with being an agent and wholesaling at the same time. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew Michael Thanks. I notice you do wholesaling. That is what I am planning on starting with to get my feet wet and build up some cash to further invest in flips and buy and holds. If you don't mind sharing with me,...how has your experience in this business been, and have you always dealt in here in Maryland? And yes, hampstead and Carroll county in general seem to be a good place to invest. A lot of 3/2 sfh to potentially flip and town homes which seem good for rentals.
