Thanks for the information, but I have a business partner in the business/building sale. He is 69 and does not want to reinvest (1031 exchange), which leaves me having to make a much larger investment on my own to meet the 1031 requirements which is more than I’m willing to do at this time.

Initially I’m wanting to start in the local Chattanooga/North Georgia area

I’m closing on the sale of my business and building in the next few weeks.  l plan to use that money to start investing in real estate. I’m particularly interested in small multi family and/or medium term rentals.  I’m here as a 51 year old newbie to real estate investing and wanting to learn as much as possible.
