Hi Peter  You sound very anxious to get started.  I agree with the suggestions to learn all you can, research and network with others.  Be a sponge.  Think of the next 4 years as your undergraduate degree in investing!  Focus on your weaknesses so they are no longer weaknesses.  Take advantage of your unique situation and inspect all open houses and properties wherever you are in this world.  Finding a niche with the military families is a fabulous start.  You will have opportunities to see so much more than the average person.  Use that advantage to think outside the box.

Now that we finally got rid of the snow and the rain here in Upstate NY, I'm gearing up for an exciting rest of the year investing in real estate! My goal is to complete several transactions in the coming months, and would love your help achieving this goal as I'm newer to the investing industry.  I grew up surrounded by a family of realtors from up and down the East coast, so I have a solid real estate foundation (no pun intended). Right now, I'm looking for cash buyers in the Upstate NY area, and as I grow I will be looking for cash buyers in North Carolina and South Carolina as well.  Can't wait to see what I can learn from y'all!
