Hi all,

I am still looking for my first flip. I am in the process of making an offer on a property. It is a 1960s era ranch that is very dated an needs extensive updating. The thing is, the tile in the bathroom is in great shape. It is extremely clean without any chips or cracks. It does look very 1960s though.

Would it look too strange if I updated the rest of the house but didn't change the bathroom tile?

All opinions are appreciated.

Thanks Wendell, great information. Are you buying the houses in Florida long distance or are do you travel to the area or have people there?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. @Jonathan M. I've been concentrating my efforts in East Hartford and Manchester.

@Salvatore Rondinelli I would love to get together and compare notes.

Hello everyone,

I am new to real estate investing. I would like to begin by rehabbing homes in the greater Hartford, Connecticut area. I have started looking for homes and have bid on a couple already. Still looking to complete that first deal.

I have been using MLS so far but I think I am going to focus on starting a marketing campaign. The margins on the MLS properties just seem too slim.

I am looking forward to learning from the collective experience here and someday passing on some of my own. Would love to connect with others in the Hartford area.

Thanks,

Chris
