Post: SFH tear down & construct a new 2-family house in Jersey City, NJ

Hi,

In trying to tear down a single family house and build a two family house in Jersey City, NJ; this is the general trend here in JC nowadays. Am looking for information on the various legalities, paperwork and steps involved in this type of work if I am not hiring a builder and doing it myself since builders are very expensive in JC and take a huge margin from the actual cost of construction. I have info on how to obtain the loan for this as of now and I know zoning conversion won't be an issue. Many thanks!
