Hello everyone. My husband and I are currently in the process of buying our first rental property. Closing is scheduled in a few weeks. Meanwhile I have been listening to the podcasts and reading Landlording by Leigh Robinson, trying to choose the right lease agreement and get the ins and outs of being a landlord. I recently signed up for a free 30 day trial of Quickbooks and now i'm confused. My question is, do i need to register myself as a business or a investor? Do I have a choice in the matter? What's the best software to manage rental properties? If anyone has any advice for us that would be great! Thank you.
