Post: How should I go about it?

Hello Everyone,

I am fairly new to investing and don't have an "investment property" yet, BUT I do own my primary residence. I bought this property in 2019 with every intention to live in it for 1 year then either rent to a long-term tenant or airbnb it. Life got the best of me and that simply wasn't possible shortly after the purchase. I am now more than ready to move on, but I am unsure of the route I should take. I would love to do the airbnb thing, but I know things are getting really slow in my my area and don't want to waste my time or money to set it up. A long term tenant sounds great, but I am unsure if I should get a property manager or if I should manage it myself. Has anyone been in a similar situation of short-term vs. a long-term tenant? I will say I am leaning more on the long-term tenant idea. How did you ultimately decide? What is your take on hiring a property manager for just 1 property?
