Hello, thanks to everyone that made it to our kickoff a few weeks ago! What a success! If you missed our September hang out, not a worry. Because, next month, we're back for our second meeting on October 5th. Again, this is not a place to sell anything. It's a place to meet new people and innovate. Hope to see you there!

P.S. During our last meeting we hung out upwards of 3 hours!!! It was awesome hearing each other's stories! Feel free to come and go as you please, but as a result this turned into a dinner of sorts. Just an FYI.

We got pushed to inside. They do not have room on the patio. I have a black shirt and orange sweater.

Girl! I feel you. I live in DC and have to search markets else where. I’m going back and forth between do I purchase my home here first which is SO EXPENSIVE!!! Or do I rent a little longer and get an investment going out of state. Totally get it!

However, I vote you’re over thinking it. ☺️ I’m the same! (Computer Science major notorious for over thinking) To be honest, say you made your first deal and it flopped. You lost what something between 30-35k worth of money right? But you will have learned so much! And what’s 30-35k @ 26 years old. Yall can probably save that in only several months with no debt. Besides, if you do make it big and the $30k is all you lost and you end up making millions in investments. It will one day feel like pennies.

Be brave!! I’m cheering you on. Cause I’m in the same spot. Got a little more savings to do but then I’ll be looking for my first out of state deal!

Good Luck!

Hello, if you are in the NOVA area and are interested in financial independence (via REI or other means), a few of us are looking to meet in Chantilly, VA on Sept. 7th. If the group gels, we'll look to make a habit of it. However, I will warn you, if you are coming to sell us things, you can forget coming. This will be a place for people to meet likeminded people that are seeking to learn more from each other.

Hello all, I haven't forgotten y'all. I am thinking the first Tuesday of the month. So let's do Sept 7th, 6pm @ Lazy Dog in Chantilly. I'll be there probably grabbing some dinner and a drink on the patio.

PS if things get worse and we cannot meet, we can try do things virtually. Or wait until this wave passes. Will keep an eye for what the COVID status is next month.

Thanks for the feedback! I’d enjoy attending both meetups for sure. Until then I don’t mind getting something started in the next week or so! Look forward to meeting everyone.

Yes! I've grown weary of being sold something, too! I'll look into getting it set up. And yeah Brian, I would look into doing a happy hour in Chantilly most likely.
