@David Tatum that makes some more sense now. That's a bummer for us, Mariners Cay fit perfectly into the price range, and exactly where we wanted to be. Do you know if the units that have been grandfathered in can transfer the STR ability in a sale??

The houses on Folly now that are available are a little above our price range now, but I hope to be able to get into the beach front in the near future.  It seems like those house make a killing.

Okay good to know.  I will look into that.  We don't live in the immediate area, so this might be an option for us.

I have been doing STR for about 20 years, just one property. Been thru 3 cleaning people. 2 were great and one not so much. Once you find someone, treat them well, as they can be life savers for other little issues that can arise and save you from driving 3 hours to remedy. Wish I could provide a recommendation, but my person is not taking on any new clients, as STR have exploded in the area last few years. Happy to answer any questions.

Awesome info! Ive talked to a few people, as well as listening to the podcasts, and they all say the same thing.  Treat the cleaning staff like gold, because without them, you are out of business. (unless you want to clean it yourself!). Any chance your cleaner may recommend someone in the area? I was planning to starting to cold-call companies and see what kind of vibe I get from them.  Also, would you have any rec's for a handyman in the area?

Tomorrow is our first one in NH. We run a bunch down in MA. We call it Pints and Properties. We will be holding them monthly in Rochester from here on .

Probably the last Wednesday of the month.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Awesome! Where in Mass? My wife and I live on the North Shore, and my partners are up in Concord.

Good to know, because we are looking into the 10% vacation home lending, I think we have to manage the  property ourselves, if I'm correct?  Do you guys do just bookings? Or are there other things you guys do as well? We are looking into cleaning services and a local handyman as well.

Good morning Chad. Just so happens my team and I are hosting a RE Meetup tomorrow night, Sept 22, in Rochester NH. The details can be found here in the BP Meetup section.

Thanks for the info! My partners live in Concord and we were just talking about going to a Meetup. I will pass on the info to them as well.  How often do you guys meet? You can send me a message if you'd like.

Hi All! I just wanted to ask and see if there were other NH, more specifically the White Mtns, investors here on BP. We are starting to get into the STR market, and would love to network with any of you. Any info/insights of what to look for or who to create our team around would be awesome. I'd love to share some of the research we've been getting as well. Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you!!

Hey BP guys!! Quick question for the group. We are new into the STR realm, and am starting to get a list on cleaning services available in our market. We will be managing the STR remotely. I was wondering what are some "must-ask" question you have when you are talking to the potential companies?

Rates? Availability? Extent of work? Do they do other STR in the area?

Any and all advice or insight would be great and much appreciated!!

I agree with your feedback. I was looking into more, and exploring more of the resources on BP. It really is amazing how much info we have through this site. Thanks for your opinions!!
