Hi @Andrew Freed, It is fairly recent, it has been about a year and a half since it passed.  The amount of paperwork we are required to handle is pretty ridiculous.  Not may people know this is a requirement and certification has to be obtained by Landlords doing their own management to management companies as they believe we are acting as contractors.  I hope this helps.

If you manage homes built before 1978, there's a key regulation to be aware of: the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires property managers and Landlords Nationwide to be certified in lead-based paint handling. Homes built before 1978 often contain lead-based paint, which poses serious health risks, particularly to children and pregnant women. Hi Yinka,

We are located in Houston and have done property management for the last 20 years, I am also an investor here, so we certainly can help any questions you may have.  Houston is extremely diverse in the many people from different countries, so it makes for great place to invest.  We have seen such a large growth of population due to people coming from different states into Texas and especially Houston.  We are here to help.
