We receive rent by direct deposit to our bank account. We have been having problems with a nonpaying tenant, so we took them to court on Friday (pro se). We won a judgement against them recently for $2465. However, they've made 2 payments of a few hundred each time that morning and a few days before, before we had a chance to amend our motion. At this point, I don't think they will pay the balance of the judgement (still over a thousand--this is their game, to make a few lowly partial payments to stave off eviction). We would like to just get a warrant for removal and evict them, even if it means returning the partial payments. But how do we do that if they are paying by direct deposit (a method we cannot refuse)? Can we call for a warrant and return the money at that time?
