Hi Everyone!

I've been a lurker on and off for about two years now and I'm constantly impressed by the discussions and advice to be found on this site. I figured it was about time to get off the sidelines and join in!

I'm 24 years old and a project manager for a high end home builder in the Bay Area, and I'm an aspiring real estate developer. I used to have my real estate license in Colorado and worked for a multifamily broker in Denver for about a year. I've been saving diligently for a downpayment and my goal is to finally start my buy-and-hold portfolio in 2013, starting with a single family home or duplex. I'm still trying to decide on a market to invest in, as I'm priced out of just about everything within an hour drive. Any words of advice on picking a market to invest in when you have the "California problem" are welcome!

Looking forward to joining in and meeting new people!
