Hi @Lien Vuong, thanks for your warm welcome! My brother and I are looking to get started by wholesaling but we're also strongly considering fix and flips and long term rentals for multi family homes if we find the right deals. We're focusing on the Greater Boston Area and Providence, but we haven't narrowed our focus any further than that because of how new we are to investing. So for the time being we're getting our marketing out to both cities and hoping the responses we get will help us narrow our areas of focus.
We're also looking to get into short term rentals through websites like Airbnb, VRBO, etc. We've found a course that teaches us how to lease someone else's property and and use it for short term rentals. We think this could provide a lot of value to landlords who are struggling to fill their units.
Do you have any suggestions for REI groups in the area? I've checked out a few on meetup but if there are any that you find particularly helpful I'd love the chance to get involved.
