I got settlement, $100,000 of it I’m using to buy a house. Found an old plantation house, 2400 square feet for $50,000. 5 beds 3 baths. I need all the windows glazed, all new flooring, all walls painted, 3 bathroooms all new everything and everything for the kitchen. We plan on using marketplace to get some things cheaper. But we also have to pay someone to put in a split hvac system. I don’t have to pay anyone to do the construction at all, my family is well experienced and willing to do the work. Except for the hvac system, which I am waiting on a quote for. My biggest fear is I’m not sureness 50,000$ is enough money to fully renovate this house. No walls aren’t being torn down or built, although I wouldn’t have to pay for labor for that either. As far as we know electric and plumbing are decent. I’m young, 21 and trying to flip this home for myself and to maybe sell down the road. Please tell me if I’m making a mistake and don’t have enough money! It’s got a garage and an acre of land on the river.
