@Jerome Hanson that is pretty much what my train of thought has been.  It definitely provides another facet to my motivation to show her some tangible results.

@Karen Margrave she loves them. She loves fixer upper in particular and their whole brand of remodeling and design.  The blogs are a great idea. She enjoys blogs so seeing and reading stories of women who have been successful I think would be a great step in the right direction at the very least to being open to being on board.  I've consumed almost all of J Scott's site (now i just need purchase the books ha) and him and his wife as an example of what we could be is another great idea.

@Sharon Vornholt@Jim Young thank you guys for this recommendation. Being able to split out some specific areas in which she might be interested is perfect. She gets overwhelmed when a lot is thrown at her and with my excitement it is slightly possible I may have overloaded her circuits and put unnecessary pressure on her without me even realizing it until now.

@Karen Margrave that's certainly true. I'd really enjoy it if we were able to build something together and maybe that could come but maybe it won't and I need to be ok with that.  One of my biggest weaknesses is the tendency to let life happen and be passive rather than going after what I want.  (Hence the big change in my thinking and getting into this rei business. I'm a total noob but it doesn't take much understanding and experience to know that if you're standing still you're dying)  All that to say I want to pursue my wife and encourage her to get on board without just hoping it does if that makes sense.  But i get too that I can't force her and if i obligate her and she does it without any enjoyment then both of us will be miserable.

@James Barnhart thank you James for relaying your experience.

thank you all for the feedback and input and advice.  i love this community and how helpful and encouraging most everyone seems to be.

Welcome @Cameron Small! I am a noob as well and can't echo enough just how helpful BP and its community have been for me.  Enjoy the reading and the connections.  I can't offer much in terms of knowledge and experience but can definitely offer some encouragement.

@Rolanda Eldridge just sent you a connect invite. would love to chat about how the license has positively impacted your business if you get a few minutes soon.

Hey BP. This is my first post but ive been a pro member for about a month so my active participation is long overdue. Let me say thanks in advance to you who will read this discussion and participate and for those who will never read this discussion but have helped tremendously with their questions answers and insights in other discussions that ive consumed in a large clip for months before even joining BP as a member.

With that said here is a little about me. Im brand spanking new with rei. I have yet to do a deal but that changes in approximately a week when ill be partnering on a small fix n flip. The ultimatel goal is build funds through fix n flips (open to wholesaling too) to acquire mid level multis (10-50 unit properties)

Beyond the normal "how do i _____" which likely has been answered multiple times over here on BP the biggest question I have is how do I get my wife more involved, engaged, and an integral part of this new endeavor? Is there any 1 particular book, seminar, blog post or even a series that youd recommend from taking your wife from skeptic to biggest chearleader and believer in what rei can do for your family?

Over the last month there has been a transformation in my thinking my actions and my behavior. Ive consumed rei content, business content, and personal growth content that has changed me forever. Shes a little freaked out and thinks this is just another "fad" for me to pick up and drop like ive done in the past. But as you all well know once your thinking changes you change and how can you ever go back.

All that to say that i need some advice to bring her along. Ive tried baby steps with blog posts and the documentary on netflix called im not your guru with tony robbins.  Would love to hear from any one of you who experienced similar hesitation in your spouse and how you were able to turn it around.
