@Collin Boyer best of luck in 2021! You will have to keep us updated on your progress. I am interested in your story on the house hacking goal and how that will workout for you. How much of an increase will that be from your 2020 to 2021 on your RE transactions?

@Collin Boyer, I am glad you posted about this topic. My wife and I have spent the last couple of years learning and saving for our first REI property. We just submitted for pre-approval today and our goal is to purchase our first two SFR in 2021. What are your 2021 goals?

@Justin Windham

Earned income through the real estate business, such as flipping or wholesaling, is something that I will deeply consider. I appreciate your insight and taking the time to help!

Buying a property with the BRRRR strategy through a self-directed IRA. When refinancing the property to pull IRA cash out, can you refinance the property into a LLC that is not associated with the self-directed IRA? The cash that is pull out of the refinance would be put back into the self-directed IRA to be used again for another BRRRR property. Thus, the refinanced property would not be controlled by the IRA but controlled in another LLC that is controlled personally. I have tried to dig into information regarding the topic but can't seem to find much. Any insight or resources would be helpful!

@George Blower

I have a full time w-2 job but have retirement that needs to be rolled over from a previous job. I have been researching a self directed IRA because of the real estate benefits. I have formed an LLC for a real estate business. Would I still qualify for a solo 401k through the LLC? Thank you for you time and consideration!

@Ken Nyczaj Every thing I read about these loans there is a cap. However not with this bank, or at least not at this point in the relationship.

@Chris Youssi No reason, just want some feed back about other people’s experience. Also thinking about building a long term relationship with the small community bank. They are a portfolio lender and may come in handy as I grow this business.

@Judy P. There was a news story on them recently. Terrible customer service and withholding payments for service. One couple had the service for over 20 yrs before they had a claim and they wouldn’t pay out. I would avoid home warranties in general and save the money for repairs.
