I am 22 and live in Akron, OH. I have been doing my research on buying a multifamily property and using it to house hack. I am not ready, both financially and mentally, to pull the trigger yet. With that in mind, when should I expose myself to lenders, appraisers, and agents (just to get a feel for how the process goes)? My main concern is I do not want to lead anyone on that I am going to give them business and then feel pressured to buy and/or waste their time.

Can agents have a full-time job and work as a successful independent real estate contractor?

Can someone explain how you can use equity from property investment to buy another property? I understand what equity is but how can you use the money you don't have right in a bank account to purchase something else?
