Post: Building a Deal with Seller Financing

I have located a property in my desired area. It is listed on the MLS as a lease. We would like to use a David Greene/Scott McGillivray method of presenting 2-4 different seller financing options to buy the property. My question is, where can I find information about how make sure all of the steps are followed to ensure that we have the proper transfer of title? We are located in Texas.

Thanks!

@Will Fraser thank you for the response! I will say this. It is my nature to take everything with a grain of salt and use it within my own personality. I agree. From listening to the webinar today, there is an aggressiveness. As an introvert, this is not something that I would necessarily adopt as my own in it's entirety. I will definitely look into those other suggestions!

I am a newly licensed agent in Dallas/Fort Worth and also a new real estate investor. So, I am just trying to learn as much as I can, and find a strategy that works best for me.

I'm on the Grant Cardone 10x webinar. Has anyone read his 10x book? Thoughts?

I'm also interested in reading The Road Less Stupid. Any tboughts on that one?

Our plan right now (it could and probably will evolve) is to buy at least 1 single family home per year. We want homes to cash flow, but we are not trying to live off this money. It is for reinvestment. My husband has a great, high earning job. We are definitely looking for cash flowing properties, but we are also conservative by nature and can afford to make moves that work for us and set up passive income for our retirement.

Hi everyone! My husband has been listening to Bigger Pockets podcast for a while. We decided we were going to start our real estate portfolio. So, I decided to get my Texas Real Estate license. During that time we bought our first property. We got it as an off market deal. We are living in that property, making minor updates, and fulfilling our year minimum for our mortgage before we get it listed to rent.

Once I past my real estate exam, I could dive to the BP podcasts. I am now also reading SOLD by David Greene. My goal as an agent is to network and learn as much as I can about investment properties so that when we are ready for our next property, I'll have plenty of practice.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Market is pretty hot, but I know there are deals. I'm happy to be a part of this forum/community. I can't wait to learn from all of you!
